Day 4 of 30-Day Charity Challenge

Today I decided to donate my time to promoting the Salvation Army. Besides this non-profit highlight I will tweet about the Salvation Army and make it viewable to thousands of people.
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The following are programs that help:
  • Missing Persons
  • Disaster Relief
  • Prisoner Rehabilitation
  • Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation
  • Fight Human Trafficking
  • Youth Camps
  • Christmas Charity
  • Elderly Services

The most obvious way to help the cause and donate to the Salvation Army is the red kettle drive that takes place around the Christmas season every year, however there are many other ways to donate.
  • More than 3,400,000 individuals of all ages volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work
  • You could also donate clothing, appliances, furniture, or other household goods to local thrift stores.
  • Donate your old car
  • Donate your airline miles.

  1. So cool. Andy and the youth group have established a relationship with our local Salvation Army, volunteering their time and resources. It really is an amazing ministry!
